Frankfurt/Berlin, March 5th 2015 | The Roman Thermal Spas of Europe introduced the first travel packages today at the ITB in Berlin, the world’s leading tourism trade fair. There are 8 different participating thermal spa destinations across Europe each offering now a combination of Thermal Spa Stays with experiences of Roman Culture: Aidipsos (Greece), Badenweiler (Germany), Baile Herculane (Romania), Budapest (Hungary), Chaves (Portugal), Chianciano (Italy), Dax (France) and Hisarya (Bulgaria). Each one of them is unique in their geographic location, their climate and their treatments either medical or wellness. What they all have in common, however, is their shared Roman heritage.
Hitherto, guests can choose from a total of 18 different offers. The duration of stay varies between one day and two weeks. All packages combine different health and cultural offers at the respective destination, i.e. hotel accommodation, a variety of different treatments in the thermal spas, and the experience of the respective Roman heritage encompassing museums, monuments as well as Roman menus in restaurants and many other offerings.
For instance, guests can go for a swim in one of the thermal water pools of the Thermae Sylla Spa in Aidipsos or enjoy a stay at the Cassiopeia Therme in Badenweiler, which is located right next to the best-preserved Roman bath ruins north of the Alps. They can also follow Austrian empress “Sissi” and visit Baile Herculane, which she considered the most beautiful spa resort in Europe. Guests can also explore the Hungarian capital Budapest, which is also known as “City of Spas”. Chaves offers its guests a modern thermal bath and treatments whose healing effects have been appreciated for more than 2,000 years. In Dax, the biggest spa in France, guests can enjoy the mild climate and French savoir-vivre. The Chianciano Terme offers an exceptional spa experience with Tuscan flair. In Hisarya, guests can visit many well-preserved Roman relics and enjoy the healing water in the form of both drinking cures and baths.
